The older Bastian gets the more toys we collect. As he outgrows certain toys, I have tried to collect them for storage, but I haven't really created a play space for him yet. With the cold weather, there is a lot more indoor play, which in turn means a lot of indoor messes. Finding inexpensive ways to create a fun and ORGANIZED space for your little one can be a daunting task. I have collected 11 clever and inspirational playroom ideas. I really want to use these all... if only I had room in my house...

  1. Chalkboard wall with teepee
  2. Art corner
  3. Chalkboard art wall
  4. Closet turned reading nook
  5. Grocery store nook
  6. DIY Lego storage container
  7. Action hero storage containers
  8. Chalkboard coffee table
  9. DIY toy crate on wheels
  10. Magnetic wall
  11. Dress-up wardrobe

The biggest thing to remember when creating a playroom/play space for your child is to make it feel special. I remember as a kid loving to find little nooks or hideouts. I felt like the space was just for me, and it helped me feel independent. Make it theirs, make it easy for THEM to organize and put toys away. You may be surprised the pride they take in their very own space and want to keep it "tidy-ish".
