Our new Pirates and Mermaids exhibit is only part of the fun at the Children's Museum this summer! The place where books and stories come to life - Fairytale Land - is back!

All summer long you can visit Princesses Poppy, Lily, Rose Violet and their princesses. The princesses teach the children about being brave, finding magic in books, and that everyone is royalty if they are kind and help others.

Children learn that if they're kind kind and remember to say 'Please' and 'Thank you,' then they are a prince or princess as well. It doesn’t matter if they come from the smallest homes or the largest castles, being royal comes from their heart. We hope all children and parents that visit Fairytale Land stand a little taller as they leave.

As the summer comes to a close, we close the book on Fairytale Land with the Fairytale Ball on August 6, from 6pm – 9pm. The Princesses and their Princes will travel all the way from Andalasia to dance the night away with all the little princes and princesses of Omaha. The museum will be decorated with the help of our fairy godmother Linda who will also be present, gathering all the wishes of the children who attend the ball. It'll be such a grand event that pirates and mermaids have planned to attend as well!

There will be dancing, face painting, lite dinner stations provided by Hy-Vee, dessert station sponsored by Jones Brothers Cupcakes, crown making, sword decorating, and horse drawn carriage rides around the museum! To end this magical night, we’ll light up the Omaha skyline with fireworks.

It will be a magical night for the whole family. You can purchase tickets at the Omaha Children's Museum website.
