Ok, parent friends, true confession time:

Have you been taking advantage of this amazing weather we've been having the past few weeks?

There hasn't been a better time this season to get out and about in the Omaha metro area! The temperature is perfect and your kids, hopefully, are still feeling some summer vibes. Let's end the summer strong!

I admit that I'm starting to feel nostalgic for structure, just as I do every August. Anyone else out there feel the same? At this time of year it's nice to start adding some planned activities back into our lives so we don't go too crazy. If you're looking to sign up for a great program that will get your kiddos' brains in gear and also get you outside on a beautiful morning, look no further – Hands-on-Habitat is back!

Our first program of the school year is Friday August 18 at 9:30 at Fontenelle Forest in Bellevue. We'll have a fantastic time learning about snails! With a circle time discussion, outdoor exploration on the trails, and station time, you and your preschoolers can engage together in a great blend of structure and free play.

Register yourself and your child today at ParentSavvy's Hands-on-Habitat page. The snails and I can't wait to see you there!
