In the last article, we discovered there's a wealth of 1,400 hundred acres of forest, loess hills, marsh, wetlands, and grasslands with over twenty six mile of foot trails within 10 minutes of Omaha at Fontenelle Forest. Over the next couple weeks, we’ll reveal ways to combat cabin fever at the Forest. This week we'll focus on Family Sundays.
Family Sundays in the Forest are offered each Sunday at 1:00p.m. with a different topic each week. Subjects range from "Raptor-rama," a one hour indoor program featuring Fontenelle Forest's Raptor Recovery's birds of prey, to "Scat is All That," where you can learn about the poop of various animals of the forest then go on a hike to search for what has been left behind. You know your little ones will enjoy that.
Next time we'll discuss health and fitness opportunities at Fontenelle Forest.
