Snow is beautiful and fun for kids of all ages to play in.

Bring this fun indoors with these snow-themed activities! Plus, most of these activities only need a few supplies that you may already have around the house. We tried several of them during the recent snow day, and are excited to try out the rest this winter!

1. Snow Ice Cream

We made Snow Ice Cream for the first time this year, and it was a hit! It is a very simple recipe for turning fresh snow into ice cream! - Find Time for Fun

  • 2 large bowlfuls of fresh snow
  • 1 can evaporated milk or 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar

2. Honey Snow Candy

3. Puffy Snowman Art

Mix equal parts glue and shaving cream to create Puffy Snowman Art (add some glitter for extra sparkle)! - Oopsey Daisy

5. Snow Slime

6. Snow Clay

Love all of the possibilities with this homemade Snow Clay using baking soda, corn starch, and water (peppermint extract and glitter are optional)! -Growing A Jeweled Rose

7. Paper Plate Polar Bear

This fun Polar Bear is perfect for preschoolers using only a paper plate, cotton balls, and construction paper.

8. Magic Snow

Make your own snow with just baking soda + shaving cream, and then add a little vinegar to make magic snow! -Growing A Jeweled Rose

9. Puffy Paint Snowflakes

Create your own paint with flour, baking powder, salt, food coloring, and water to make Puffy Painted Snowflakes. We used paintbrushes and painted on paper plates - so much fun! Things to Share & Remember
