When should I talk to my child about alcohol and drugs?

It is never too early to start talking to your child about using alcohol and drugs. You need to set clear expectations as a parent so when your child finds himself in a situation where alcohol or drugs are around, he will know what to do. Kids start experimenting earlier than you think -  sometimes as early as 10 or 11 -  so it is never too early to keep the lines of communication open and make sure kids understand your expectations.
