What is going on that changed my daughter into an eye-rolling, emotional girl at 15?

What is going on that changed my daughter into an eye-rolling, emotional girl at 15? How long does this last?

Adolescence is a difficult time for young people. Not only do they experience physical changes, but also increased peer pressure and expectations by their parents.

As difficult as it is being a teenager, being a parent of one may be even harder.

Eye rolling is a common teenage behavior meant to accomplish two things:  assert their independence and annoy their parents. Many parents feel that when their kids roll their eyes, they're being disrespectful, however, I would view it as a harmless expression of increasing independence during the teenage years.

The best approach is to simply ignore it and continue communicating in a calm and direct manner. Plan on it continuing all through her teenage years!
