Is my milk drying up?

When I pump, I get 4.5 ounces. The next time I may only get 2.5 ounces. Is this a sign my milk is drying up? What can I do to produce more milk?  I do not want to quit, but I am very stressed. HELP.

This certainly does not mean you are losing your milk. You didn’t mention the age of your baby but getting 4.5 ounces is actually quite a bit of milk. New research is showing that most breastfed babies rarely take more than 5 ounces at a feeding by bottle no matter their age.
