Should we take childbirth education classes?
My husband and I are expecting. What can we expect with these classes? I'm not sure if we need classes on childbirth. What are the reasons to go to these - and what do they cover?

I always recommend that my patients attend pre-natal classes before they have their baby. I believe that these classes help moms with the anxiety that comes with not knowing what happens or what could happen during labor.
It also helps women understand what their options are in regard to their birth plan. They can discuss their birth plan with their health care provider before delivery so everyone has an idea about what to expect.
