Your Baby, Week 19

baby on his tummy

Like your baby’s first smile, hearing baby giggle for the first time is a special memory.

Your baby may also be shouting or squealing, too, when he sees someone or something that he likes.

If he’s holding a toy by now, you two are probably spending more time playing together.

Make sure some of that time is spent with baby lying on his tummy. Tummy time helps strengthen baby’s muscles for crawling.

Set up a mirror on a blanket so he can watch himself. Make some funny faces and see if you can elicit a laugh again!
