Your Baby, Week 42
If your little one has started pulling up, it won’t be long before he’s cruising—taking steps along a piece of furniture and holding on to it to stay steady.
If you haven’t already, be sure to pad sharp edges and corners on coffee- and end-tables and remove other hazards—babies in this stage tend to fall down a lot! It’s a good idea to keep a cruising baby barefoot or in skid-proof footwear to minimize falls.
Once he’s able to walk up and down the length of a piece of furniture, he’ll be moving around the room in no time!

Everyday hazards
Always remember that ordinary products you use each day around the home can become dangerous poisons in the hands of a child. Use this list to help you childproof your home for poisons.

Would glasses help your baby?
Doctors who specialize in children's eye care say children usually become near- or farsighted between ages 6 and 12. But even infants can wear glasses if they need help to see well. Read about indications of an eye problem in babies.
