Your Baby, Week 46
Bye-bye to 'ba-ba'?
Your baby may be very attached to her bottle, but it’s going to be time to say “bye-bye” to the “ba-ba” soon.
Experts recommend that you wean baby from the bottle around baby’s first birthday. It is easier to do it now, rather than later, when she is even more reliant on it for comfort and security.
In addition, as your baby gets more teeth, sipping sweet liquids from a bottle all day can result in tooth decay.
When you are ready to start to wean your baby from the bottle, reserve it for naps and bedtime. Offer her a cup with a spout instead.
