Your Baby, Week 7

Using his senses, your baby is slowly beginning to make sense of the new world around him.
Your little one can’t see very far yet, so he prefers to focus on what’s about a foot in front of him—which is probably you most of the time!
- Contrasting black and white images are also interesting to your newborn since he can’t discern colors very well.
At this stage, your baby’s hearing is more developed than sight.
- Your voice is music to his ears, specifically that high-pitched “baby-talk” that seems to come naturally to people when they encounter a baby, so babble away!
